Get to know, Evelyn Clark
EverLend Director, Mortgage & Finance Broker
Hi Evelyn! Tell us, what do you love doing when you’re not working?
When I’m not helping clients with their finances, you’ll usually find me outdoors. I love exploring Melbourne’s hidden gems, heading down to the beach, or walking my energetic Border Collie, Finn (though sometimes it’s more him walking me!). I also enjoy playing golf, which I’ve been playing since I was 10 years old! And of course, catching up with friends over a glass of rose!
What’s your favourite thing about living in your area?
Hands down, the beach! I’m very lucky to have grown up in Bayside, Melbourne. I absolutely love starting or ending the day by the water, and it certainly makes a long run pass by quicker when you’re running along the foreshore!
Do you do any community or charity work?
Yes! I’m passionate about giving back and I’m heavily involved in International Women’s Day initiatives. Each year I help raise funds to support women and children in need, both locally and abroad, and it’s one of the most rewarding parts of my work outside of broking.
Where are your favourite places to go for dinner, breakfast or coffee around Melbourne?
Melbourne’s food scene is unbeatable, and I’ve got a few local favourites. For dinner, I love Oushou in Brighton, a fantastic Japanese restaurant. Breakfast is best at Plain Sailing in Elwood, and for coffee, Miss Alex & Co is my go-to spot (conveniently on the way to the office!).
Do you have any favourite local businesses you’d like to give a shout out to?
Definitely Miss Alex & Co in St Kilda – they keep our office fuelled with great coffee every week. Supporting local businesses is important to me, and I love being part of such a vibrant community.
And now the big question! What’s your favourite thing about being a Mortgage Broker?
For me, it’s about empowerment. What excites me most is when clients walk away feeling more confident and educated about their finances than when they came to me! Helping someone truly understand their options is powerful – and it’s the part of my job I enjoy most.
